1. First, break the binary number into 4-bit sections from the LSB to the MSB.
2. And then convert the 4-bit binary number to its Hex equivalent.

Let us take an example to better understand the method. Let we have any binary number 100 1110 1101 0011 to be converted into its corresponding hexadecimal number. Then we shall apply above two steps as shown below:

Thus the hexadecimal value, corresponding to the binary number 100 1110 1101 0011 is 4ED3.

Hexadecimal to Binary Conversion

To convert a hexadecimal number into a binary number we follow the following two steps:

1. First, convert the Hexadecimal number to its 4-bit binary equivalent.
2. And then combine the 4-bit sections by removing the spaces.
   

To better understand the procedure let us take an example of the above hexadecimal number, that is 4ED3 and apply these two steps on it as follows:

Thus for the hexadecimal number 4ED3, we get the corresponding binary number

= 0100 1110 1101 0011

This is the expected answer.
