Il seguente programma è stato scritto per leggere il DBR dei parametri flosci e differenti del disc. Tuttavia, potete anche usarli per FAT12 e piccoli volumi FAT16 dei dischi rigidi specificando la posizione di settore adatta di DBR e del numero di azionamento fisico.

Se fate funzionare questo programma per esaminare il DBR di 1.44M, dischetto di pollice dei 3 ½ che ha 70 piste, due lati, 18 settori per la pista e 512 byte in un settore, l'uscita del programma saranno simile visualizzato a come segue:
